Atomization Characteristics of Kerosene in Crossflow with an Incident Shock Wave

An unsteady numerical simulation method was used in order to explore more efficient atomization methods for liquid fuel scramjet combustors and study the influence of different shock wave incident positions on characteristics kerosene crossflow. The wedge compression surface generate wave, position jet controlled by changing angle surface. inlet Mach number 2.01; total temperature 300 K, momentum ratio 12. research results show that as moves upstream, penetration depth is essentially unchanged, but inner edge trajectory closer wall. Because affects Kelvin–Helmholtz instability jet, unsteadiness root strengthened, downstream weakened. stability particle-size distribution are, thus, realized quickly. reduces Sauter mean diameter section makes droplet uniform. along flow direction increase first then decrease. changes are determined reflux region, transport, pressure caused wave.
